How do I register?

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no cost for attendees who register prior to September 13, 2007. A $50 fee is charged for on-site registration.

How do I pick my conference sessions?

An up-to-date listing of educational sessions is available online at http://www.facilitiesmidwestexpo.com/Education/. Sessions are organized by day/time and track. Seven tracks are available to help you determine which sessions suit your educational needs.

Can I change my conference registration?

Yes. Start by reviewing the current session schedule. Tuesday Sessions | Wednesday Sessions
2) Pick out the sessions you want to add. Then go to the Attendee Resource Center.
3) On the welcome page you'll be asked to enter your first and last name and your confirmation number from your confirmation email.
4) Log in, and then follow the simple step-by-step directions to update your Facilities Midwest educational sessions.

I lost my registration information, can I get another copy?

Contact ShowCare at 800-255-0522 to have another confirmation emailed to you.

How do I earn CEUs?

Continuing Education Credits are available from IFMA, AFE, BOMI and AIA. These maintenance credits cannot, however, be applied toward earning a new designation. Contact the educational office of the respective association for more information.

Can I track the conference sessions I attend?

Yes. Facilities Midwest Expo’s Online Attendance Tracker Tool records the sessions you attend and generates electronic certificates of attendance to use to obtain continuing education credit. To participate, simply have your badge scanned within the first 15 minutes of every educational session you attend. Approximately 10 business days after the show closes, visit FacilitesMidwestExpo.com and use your registration number (printed on your badge) to access your individual attendance record.

How can I get certificates of attendance?

On Wednesday, September 19 at 12 noon, certificates of attendance will be distributed at the Facilities Midwest Expo booth, #417. If you are unable to pick up your certificate at that time, after the show you can use the online Attendance Tracker Tool to print a copy of your certificate(s). You will need your badge number to register and access your personal education information.

I didn’t get my badge in the mail, what should I do?

No problem, you can pick your badge up on site at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center when you come to Facilities Midwest. On your first day , head to the Convention Center’s North River Road entrance (5555 N. River Road). Follow the signs to the Facilities Midwest Registration center – located in the Level One Lobby. Go to the counter marked “Pre-Registration.” This is where you can pick up your badge and other conference materials.

How do I know if my registration is complete?

You will receive a confirmation sent to the email address that you provided when you registered.

What is the difference between NFMT and Facilities Midwest?

NFMT is a three-day national event for facilities managers, building owners, directors of maintenance and other facilities professionals across the country. The event includes the Maintenance Solutions Expo, GreenBuild Expo and SafeBuildings Expo. Facilities Midwest is a two-day regional event for facilities decision makers who primarily serve the central region of the country.

What is Facility Decisions?

Facility Decisions is a new, two-day conference and expo for facilities decision makers. The event will be held bi-annually, rotating with Facilities Midwest Expo. Facility Decisions 2008 will be held at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas, September 16th & 17th. Facility Decisions will feature executive-level educational sessions that focus on significant, timely issues facing the facilities industry. The exhibit floor will feature the latest products and services facility professionals are seeking. Both exhibits and conferences will be offered to attendees at no charge.

Will Facilities Midwest be held in 2008?

No. Facilities Midwest Expo will rotate every other year with its sister show, Facility Decisions, which will be held September 16th & 17th, 2008 at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas. Facilities Midwest returns to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in 2009.

Where do I park?

The Rosemont Public Parking Garages contains 8,000 parking spaces. The parking garages are connected to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center via an enclosed pedestrian walkway. Cost varies by lot.

What is the Ambassador Club?

If you bring a colleague to Facilities Midwest 2007 who did not attend the show last year, you’ll be enrolled into our Ambassador’s Club and receive a $50 Gift Card from Best Buy. Be sure your colleague registers online before September 13, and that they use Priority Code AMB when they register.

When you arrive at the show, visit the Facilities Midwest booth, #417 to check in and receive your gift card. Your guest will be entered into a drawing for a free Apple iPod Nano.
